Faizal Kottikollon Applauds UAE Visionary Leadership as UAE-India Friendship Hospital Marks a Historic Milestone with Strategic MoU Signing

In a monumental step forward in global healthcare diplomacy and cross-border collaboration, the UAE-India Friendship Hospital marked a pivotal milestone with the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that lays the foundation for a revolutionary healthcare institution built on shared values, mutual respect, and visionary foresight.

Spearheaded by Faizal E. Kottikollon, Founder and Chairman of KEF Holdings and Meitra Healthcare, the UAE-India Friendship Hospital is envisioned as a next-generation, value-based tertiary care facility in the UAE that bridges the strengths of both nations in medical expertise, technology, infrastructure, and innovation.

The MoU signing ceremony, held in Dubai, brought together representatives from leading global healthcare institutions, policy influencers, and strategic partners from both India and the UAE. The agreement formalizes collaborations in areas including clinical research, medical education, telemedicine integration, digital health innovation, and global talent exchange.

A Testament to Bilateral Goodwill and Visionary Leadership
At the heart of the initiative lies a profound commitment to healthcare equity and access, a cause championed by Faizal Kottikollon, who has been a long-standing advocate for transformative healthcare infrastructure across the Middle East and India.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kottikollon remarked:

“This is more than just a hospital—this is a symbol of friendship, resilience, and collective progress. The UAE-India Friendship Hospital stands as a shining testament to the progressive vision of the UAE leadership, particularly in recognizing healthcare as a pillar of human development and economic vitality. I am deeply honored to play a part in bringing to life a facility that will not only deliver world-class care but also promote research, innovation, and knowledge exchange at a global scale.”

He praised the UAE’s forward-thinking policies, infrastructure readiness, and unwavering focus on sustainability and innovation as crucial enablers of this landmark initiative.

Hospital Overview: A Future-Ready Institution of Global Standards
The UAE-India Friendship Hospital is slated to be operational by early 2026, and will span over 1 million square feet, housing 350+ beds in its first phase, scalable to over 750 beds in subsequent phases. Designed with patient-centric architecture and modular expansion capabilities, the facility will integrate:

Advanced robotic surgical systems and precision diagnostics

Smart ICU and AI-powered clinical decision systems

Integrated electronic health records (EHR) with predictive analytics

Medical innovation labs for research on chronic diseases and digital therapeutics

Medical education and simulation centers in collaboration with global universities

It will also offer specialized care in cardiology, oncology, neurology, orthopedics, transplant medicine, and regenerative therapies, with care pathways built around global best practices and evidence-based protocols.

MoU Partners and Strategic Collaborations
The newly signed MoU brings together key partners from India’s premier academic medical institutions, global healthtech innovators, and UAE’s policy ecosystem. It also outlines frameworks for:

Clinical research programs targeting NCDs prevalent in the GCC region

Joint fellowship and exchange programs for clinicians, surgeons, and researchers

Telehealth expansion to serve remote and underserved populations in both countries

Knowledge sharing in digital health transformation and health informatics

This initiative echoes the success of Meitra Hospital in Kerala, founded by Faizal Kottikollon, which has emerged as a model of integrated, technology-enabled healthcare in India.

Strengthening the UAE-India Strategic Health Corridor
The UAE-India Friendship Hospital stands as a flagship project within the larger narrative of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and growing bilateral investments in healthcare, education, innovation, and human capital development.

Healthcare leaders across the region have lauded the project as a blueprint for medical diplomacy, capable of setting new benchmarks in cost-effective, high-quality, and technology-augmented healthcare delivery.
