Q: Can you please tell us more about yourself and elaborate on your journey in the healthcare industry?
A: I graduated from King Saud University in 1995. In 1996, I joined Boston University for five years to pursue my postgraduate studies. I earned the American Board in Pediatric Dentistry. Following that, I worked at King Faisal Hospital from 2001 to 2020. Since then, I have been working full-time at the Clinics.
We established the Clinics in the year 2012. We started seeing our first patients in 2013. Since that time, after starting with a small number of clinics, we now occupy almost a 5000 square meter area which includes one day surgery and other departments.
Q: Could you please tell us the specialty of the clinics and how it is different from others?
A: From the beginning, we started focusing on cosmetic, dermatology, laser, dental, and wellness, plus plastic surgery clinics. For plastic surgery, we were doing only consultations; however, in the year 2017 we decided to build our in-house one-day surgery. We also added other clinics like physiotherapy and sports medicine, OBGYN, and ENT.
Furthermore, we have added vitamin IV drips from Reviv, and the year after, we built the IVF department, which is now considered one of the best clinics in the region for infertility-assisted reproductive treatment.
The Clinics is keen to provide the latest scientific knowledge in the field of infertility treatment and assisted reproduction. Under the supervision of experienced consultants, we apply the highest standards of quality to make the dream of reproduction come true. Our clinics also guarantee confidentiality of information to maintain patient privacy.
Recently, we have added the urology department, which is combined together with IVF and male infertility to solve any issue related to women’s pregnancy, or on the side of the husband.
Additionally, we have opened Stepahead, a new post-rehabilitation center that can serve athletes and people who are looking for the best-fit lifestyle. Recently, we have signed a strategic partnership with Medtronic Saudi Arabia for diabetes care.
Q: What is your approach to ensuring patient satisfaction and high-quality service?
A: Since our inception, we were committed to delivering the highest standard and quality of care. Furthermore, it’s not just about providing health services, it’s about delivering a top-notch experience to our patients. As a result, we have the best marketing out there – word of mouth. As you can see, we consider our patients as part of our family. After visiting us once, we gain their trust and they keep coming back time and time again.
Q: How do you see Artificial Intelligence and its role in the future in health care?
A: AI is actually becoming one of the best parts of health care. Soon we have a Diabeter clinic which will have AI involvement. This will provide help for the type one diabetic patients, especially children. Parents are always worried about kids with diabetes and their condition, especially when they are away from them.
The AI system will give parents and practitioners peace of mind by providing 24-hour monitoring. For example, if their blood sugar is high or low, we will have alerts on the monitor. If that happens, we can call the patient’s parents to address it immediately. This will ensure patient care and safety for type one diabetics.
This is just one example. AI will surpass our imagination when it comes to supporting the healthcare industry and doctors. We are proud to be the first clinic in the Middle East to have Diabeter. It was planned in Europe and applied for pilot study time in the Alahasa Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia. And we are the first private clinic to obtain it. We are also planning to open seven or eight more clinics soon in the Kingdom.
Q: How are you equipped to handle the constantly changing landscape of medical needs?
A: We are always sourcing new technology and replacing old machines with ones. We are one of the leading clinics to have the latest and most advanced equipment.
Q: What is your vision, do you have any International partnership plans?
A: As I mentioned earlier, one of them is Diabeter. We have already signed the contract and we are working to offer quality healthcare services and one-day surgeries. We remain committed to providing impeccable attention to clinical expertise, patient care and safety, and service excellence.
Our objective is to become the one-day surgery center of choice for patients, physicians, and team members. Next year we will have the first clinic in Riyadh and the Middle East. After three to four years, we also plan to have the Pharma DPS 35 vitamin drips; this will be based in London, England. In addition to these two International partnerships, we are looking forward to having partnerships with well-distinguished brands and companies. Our doors are open.
